USF Athletics is bringing together the two things in this world that brought alumni Art Zief the most happiness and pride; the School of Law and Dons Basketball.  As a graduate of USF Law, Art was forever thankful for what he described as the gift of knowledge.  Art was also a die-hard Dons fan and never missed a game - his homemade popcorn never leaving his side!  Art was full of life and gave so much back to the School of Law and to the Athletic Department; including providing numerous law school students with scholarships each year.

Enjoy cocktails, gourmet hors d'oeuvres, a pep talk from men's basketball coach Rex Walters and a great chance to network.  After the pre-game event, enjoy the exciting USF Dons take on conference rival University of San Diego.  USF basketball is having its best start in nearly 10 years and is fighting to make it into the NCAA tournament. Come ready to cheer, and at halftime root for your school as the School of Law students play the School of Management students in a basketball game in front thousands of screaming fans.  It will be a fun night for all and we look forward to seeing you. Go Dons!

Volunteer Opportunity for Legal Services for Entrepreneurs Program:

Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights seeks Volunteers for Legal Services for Entrepreneurs Program

The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights (LCCR) is seeking law students to help with legal clinics for their Legal Services for Entrepreneurs (LSE) Program. The LSE Program helps disadvantaged and/or low-income persons access free legal services to help them with start-up businesses. Law students will have the opportunity to shadow and work alongside pro bono attorneys who assist clients with issues such as entity formation, lease negotiations, intellectual property, and contract negotiations.

This opportunity is a low-level time commitment for students interested in doing volunteer work with business attorneys and making great connections. The two-hour clinic is held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at two different locations in San Francisco.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please email Errol Dauis at edauis@one-justice.org. In your email, please include any language abilities. LCCR especially needs Cantonese and Mandarin speakers to help translate for their Chinatown clinic.

Urban Dictionary: Sloshball

1.sloshball124 up12 down
Sloshball is kickball with beer. A keg is used in place of second base. When runners reach second base, they must finish a cup of beer before moving on to third. However, there is no force out at third base, so an unlimited number of people can be on second base drinking beer.

Everyone on the field must be holding a beer at all times. Fielders may not drop their beer in order to make a play on the ball. If a batter believes that a fielder is playing with an empty cup, batter may call a beer check on the fielder. If the fielder has an empty cup, he/she must drink. If the fielder made an out but was found to have no beer in their cup, the batter is safe. If there is beer in the cup, the batter who called beer check must drink.

All close plays should result in loud, profanity laced arguments.

If the game ends and no one has splashed beer on themselves, the game should be considered a failure.
Dude, kickball is so 1987. We need to be playin us some sloshball.
Cus bro, I been playin sloshball all afternoon!
